Making Paper

Today we have been out and about to the Suffolk open studios, we did this a couple of years ago.
We went to the studio of an artist - Judith Chestnutt, where you can have a go at making your own recycled sheet of paper. She recycles pieces of paper (not newspaper) old leaflets, yellow pages and turns them into art.

Here in the photo Lauren was having a go at making paper, then Fred had a turn, they have both brought their efforts home with them, but they are still drying before the can write or draw on them.

Judith Chestutt's husband and son also produce artwork, along with other artists showing their work. More information can be found at chestnuttstudios.co.uk

We also went along to see a lady called Leah Hinks who makes porcelain jewellery, dishes, bowls and tiny spoons along with other pieces, Lauren and myself both liked a bowl she had made, but had left the cheque book at home.

We are now home now, and need to start having a tidy up, and think about tea.

Have a good evening :)
