Second Language

Took delivery of a music order today, one of them is the Minute Papillon compilation (on the Second Language label). 60 tracks in 60 minutes by a dazzling array of people. It was the modern classical composers that drew me into the release. The packaging is great and includes a little magnifying glass to read the small writing on the tracklisting. This shot is me playing around with it.

All I know about the label is from the blurb on the inside of the box - "Second Language is a new kind of record label dedicated to releasing the best in innovative contemporary music, cutting across international boundaries and genres from post-classical composition and electronic sound design to singer-songwriting, soundtrack music, plunderphonics* and all stations in between." Here's and extended version of the Dustin O'Halloran track.

* no I don't have a clue what plunderphonics is either!
