Three Painted Faces

At midday we drove an hour south to the Wadsworth Atheneum, a mid-sized museum in Hartford CT to meet my son Adrian and his girl friend Heather who drove up from New Haven.

It was Juneteenth Family Day at the Atheneum, entry was free, and everyone was enjoying the party atmosphere. In the interior courtyard where I took this blip there were several tables for face painting, drawing with crayons, etc. --and starting about 1:30 pm free ice cream sundaes (still being dished out over an hour later).

Back at home we went to a reception for an exhibition of Bob Hallock's wonderful black-and-white photographs (a sampling is here on our photography club site.

Then to climax the day we heard The Nields (Nerissa and Katryna) at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton. A very full day!
