horns of wilmington's cow

Baaaa!

I'm going to try and keep these entries shorter than they have been...

We headed up to Great Bernera today for a coastal walk to an iron age house (a reconstruction obviously) situated beside a fantastic beach. And we were knackered. The walking book lied that it was only 5 miles, and with the Cuillin Munro still in our legs the 7-8 miles were truly 'experienced'. Still, we managed to catch sight of a Cuckoo and a Great Northern Diver, which was nice given we've been hearing them (the cuckoos) since we first stepped onto Skye, and the scenery was the right side of stunning. Oh. And there were cows. On the beach.

A refreshing paddle in the Atlantic before the carward stroll, then the long-ish drive back to the cottage to reflect on the Isles.
