horns of wilmington's cow

Back to 'civilisation'.... Two weeks split between the Isles of Skye and Harris have proved restorative. And set back the cause of city living. Never mind, back onto my home patch and there's a new Mallard brood on the Figgy. 9 ducklings - 5 are the 'usual' colouring, 4 are... well... golden...

Those holiday back blips:

Skye Window - the view from our cottage picture window
Tokavaig Sunshine - we find the only patch of sunshine on the island
Loch Bracadale - stunning stunning colour
Mobbed - a wonderful view of a White Tailed Eagle being mobbed by Hooded Crows
Black Eyed Seal - wee fella pops up to save a rainy day
Razorbill - I've never been this close to one of these lovely little birds
Silhouetted Ascent - we climb Bruach Na Frithe... By accident...
Beachlight - we make it to Harris, and get an evening beach to ourselves
Baaaa! - comical sheep gets his portrait taken
Misty Waters - playing about with some long exposures on the waves
Carloway Broch - rain, rain go away...
Callanish - ancient stones give atmosphere
Sun Sets on the Gulls - possibly my favourite sunset shots (of mine)
Sun sets on the holiday - Booooo!
Homeward blues - Gannet sees us off...
