Sunday 12 June 2011: Hike to Abiqua Falls
Hubby and drove a very rough and winding road out to hike the Abiqua Falls.
When we arrived at the trail head, it was a pretty steep trail to the falls. It was definitely not an easy trail and it was a bit scary in some parts along the way. I was glad for a rope someone had placed around a log on one part of a steep incline.
Once we arrived at the falls, it was worth the trip for sure. Such a gorgeous waterfall! The spray was really strong and the water was deep so I didn't have very many angles to get the nicest of shots. I have several photos to go through, but I decided to post this shot of hubby looking down river. Here's some information about the falls.
When I Googled Abiqua Falls, I found this video of a guy filming a kayaker going over the fall. Crazy!
