Water

The Friday challenge : water.

Thought I should water the garden this morning before the rain came on. Well, it is the height of summer!

Last night I decided my blip was going to involve the watering can regardless of the elements. The forecast all week has been for heavy rain today but early this morning it was dry and overcast. Needless to say it is now raining quite heavy.

Often at this time of year it isn't unusual to have to put the sprinkler/hose on a couple of times a week and give the grass and the borders a good soak but not this year. Hopefully it will change soon as school stops next Friday for the summer break.

At least I finally got a shot of the beautiful pink poppies before the rain batters them.
