Friday 17 June 2011: Rachel
Rachel Hill's retirement dinner at the Inn on the Loch in Lanark last night. Cathleen and I dropped in for half an hour - not only an old friend but an inspiring teacher. She works at Stanmore School , a specialist education school run by the charity Capability Scotland and she was one of the people I shadowed for a series in the TESS in 2003 when I was Sahdow Education Minister.
