Friday 17 June 2011: COCKLES AND MUSSELS

My friend and I took a trip into Wharfedale in order to attend a Taiko concert which was taking place as part of Grassington's annual music festival.

In the early evening there was a parade through the town's high street followed by live music in the main square.

We took a trip around the town and found, outside various house, decorated wheelbarrows. Apparently they are all part of a competition which is to be judged, later in the month, by a gardening chap off the telly.

I didn't see any cockles and mussels but there were lots of wheelbarrows.
