In the Magnolia Tree

Mud Dauber Wasp - Sceliphron caementarium, commonly known as the black and yellow mud dauber, at least to the best of my googling ability. There were about a half dozen of these wasps lazing around in the middle of the magnolia tree. They didn't seem to mind my putting my hand in there to move the leaves around for a clear shot. I wonder if they are responsible for all the chewed greenery, but I can't find any references to herbivorousness.
