Monday 20 June 2011: Poppy-edged
479/365: I continue my quest to find a poppy field.
And fail yet again.
Although today's effort I spotted by accident when I pulled over en route to work because I thought I might take a quick shot of a landscape I pass every day lit up in the golden morning light. And then I saw them. Little drops of prettiness edging the field. Wading into the long grass, it was worth the wet legs and cold toes.
Five minutes later than normal for work, but I'm glad I stopped. It's good to stop every so often, right? Sometimes your brain whirls so quickly that without making yourself stop, you'd wear yourself into a tired knot.
Especially when today managed to be chaos by 10am and exhausting by 8:30pm when I got home from work.
Have an issue which has to get sorted but which is crazily complicated and I had to be out of the office when I really needed to dedicate a bit of time to it. Plus, one of the people I needed to talk to about it was off. Aargh! At least the 'out of the office' was a visit to the University of Warwick and was productive... it's filled my head with ideas. Unfortunately, I think I'm that tired that by allowing more ideas to form, I'm risking pushing out stuff I already know from my head. Aaaargh again!
Oh, and to cap it all, I was feeling pooped when I was walking the mile or so from the train station to where I'd parked my car at work... and I managed to have collapso legs and fell over! Can you believe it?? Grown woman does 'collapsing in the street'. And now I have a scraped leg and hands. Falling over hurts a lot more than it used to!
PS Monday. I hate you.
PPS The Boomtown Rats were right!
