Wednesday 22 June 2011: Grass

The moment one gives close attention to any thing, even a blade of grass it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself. (Henry Miller)

When I drive through a field, I want to see green grass sometimes, and I don't want to see black and white. (Sam Mendes)

There is not one blade of grass, there is no color in this world that is not intended to make us rejoice. (John Calvin)

All flesh is like grass, and all of man's glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls...

These are the days of our lives.

I'm glad I shot yesterday's blip when I did, because a tractor came around later in the day and mowed much of the best seedy grass down.

All we are is dust in the wind - dude! (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure)
