Sunday 30 March 2008: Morning Has Broken...
Eric and I got up this morning and decided as the sun was out we would go to our favourite little place called Wolferton, for the first time this year.
It was so beautiful, we saw the deer, heard the birds and saw some beautiful bright yellow butterflies.
We were there for three hours, it was great, especially after being stuck indoors for over a week now due to the rain.
It was great seeing all the trees coming into bud, they look so beauitful. I was so pleased when I could get close enough to take a few photographs of these catkins.
It makes me want to sing this lovely little song...
Morning Has Broken
Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the word
Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day
By Cat Stevens
Hope everyone is having a beautiful sunny Sunday wherever you are...
