Saturday 25 June 2011: Light of step...
484/365: ... and happy of heart.
That's my Maddy Moo. Back on form after a week of gloom. She's had a problem with her ear all week and we treated it last night (with onion - we are an odd family, so it appears to all and sundry!)... and she's perked up hugely today.
HOORAY!!!
Amazing how ear problems can make you feel so horrible and low.
And so hideous to live with!
Ah well, at least she's perked up. This is a shot of her as she boinged happily downstairs to get Nick to see the 'funfair' she'd made in her bedroom. It had a drawing attraction - where you could... ermm... draw stuff. And a knitting ride for those who wanted to enjoy some... well... knitting. And a game with magnetic fuzzy felt. And a sick bay (she's very odd)... and other stuff. All the fun of the hippy fair. :o))
Felix has also been on good form. Allowed me to trim his hair. And I didn't even make it look too rubbish. Which, admittedly has happened in the past (we don't talk about the 2008 fringe debacle...). But I still can't bring myself to take him to the hairdressers after 'neaten it up a bit' turned, in the hairdresser's head, into an instruction to chop off all his curls and make him look like someone else's kid. Actually, I don't like going to the hairdresser's either. I, and I'm ashamed to admit it though the evidence is there for anyone to see, trim my own hair. I just hate going to have my hair cut and never, in 30+ years, has any hairdresser ever managed to make it look nice.
I have issues.
Oodles of them.
Anyway, it's been cloudy and humid all day. Humidity also hates my hair.
My hair has issues too.
PS I had to get a replacement ID card for work yesterday... the guy asked me if I wanted a new photo, 'your hair is different - it's all curly and big in that photo... are you sure you don't want a new one?', he added... helpfully...
PPS 'It's just tied back today, it's still all curly and big', I replied, my spirit crushed just a little...
PPPS On my gravestone it will say, in brackets, '(she had rubbish hair until the end)'
