Flourish of lilies

I'm not sure what the collective noun for a lot of self seeded lilies is, but we certainly have one. About five years ago, we started off with a few in a pot, and now we have three pots stuffed with them, and - oh joy - they are flowering early this year. We have managed to miss them for the last few years, being away in early July, but this time maybe the very cold weather followed by the unseasonably warm April have contributed to an early, and magnificent, flowering.

This is an example of a picture which is definitely better taken with the Arc than it would have been with the Streak which really could not do close ups justice.

In other news, I collected my bike from the bike shop and remembered what it was like to ride a rattle free bike with all its joints nice and tight, we experienced some aggro with PC World over a busted kindle, we've been chasing a smell all day in our flat, and last night we had a lovely dinner here with colleagues. In other words, no other news, really. Just domestica.
