Monday 27 June 2011: Cool morning sparkles

486/365: ... after a hot and humid night where approximately 2 minutes of quality sleep were complimented by 358 minutes of absolute tossy and turny rubbish.

Today, unlike yesterday, I decided not to take very many photos at all. So, whilst sat outside having my breakfast at 6am... and spotting a pool of sunlight touching the tips of the grass and clover... it shouted 'blip me!' at me... so I did. And that was me done. A handful of snaps and a bit better effort than an emergency cat blip. A bit. :o)

Monday itself was alright. Loads of meetings. Sorting out various HR-ish bleh for a few hours. More meetings. Then home. The office was as freezing as normal first thing which gave me the weird experience of going 'good grief, it's actually hot out here' when I left to go to another building. Then, by the time I'd finished that meeting and returned, the temperature had whizzed up to 'seven shades of hell' and was equally horrible. When we get moved out of that building in [insert moveable time frame here] weeks, I will not be in the slightest bit sorry!

I also didn't manage to get any marking done this evening. I was planning on marking one script during my lunch but then didn't get a lunch break. Then, got home, collapsed... started writing this blip... then started looking at Cake Wrecks for no other reason than I was faffing about online and avoiding marking. Then realised that the procrastination activity I'd started with, blipping, had been usurped by Cake Wrecking instead.

Marking I loathe.

Procrastination I'm good at.

PS I couldn't work out why this chair was so uncomfy
PPS Turns out I've been sitting with a balloon pump wedged up my back for the last half hour.
PPPS Monday is definitely turning out to be one of those days!
