Sunday 19 June 2011: Pico Ruivo
Klaus got some surf in the morning, I some swimming in the sea, before heading up the Pico Ruivo, Madeiras highest mountain (1862m). You start quite high up, though, as with quite a lot of the other hikes... (is that why the island is supposed to be pensioners paradise?)
