St Bernadette's Junior School, Quarryvale

This morning we visited St Bernadette's Junior School, Quarryvale to meet children who had raised funds for us during the year. The latest cheque for ?125 came from the money they got for their First Holy as its called. This is a Church celebration when children receive Holy Communion for the first time. It's a time when family and friends give the children money, so they gave some to the poor people in Malawi as they call them.
Also in the picture are two teachers Michelle (left) and Sharon, who volunteered with us in Malawi for a month last Summer.
Of all the schools we have visited this was the best. The children had learned well and were amazingly appraised of so many aspects of Malawian life and had loads of excellent questions. A reason for themselves and their teachers to be very proud
Well done and thanks guys.
