Wednesday 29 June 2011: Statuesque
Popped round to see conservator and sculptor friend Graciela's incredible new workshop today. It's about twenty times the size of her old one, but already stuffed to the gunwales with all manner of interesting objects. And of course this chap.
Sylwia was hard at work on this and very kindly told me all about the challenges and processes involved. Just a stone's throw from Blipcentral but a million miles away from all the screens and social networks. Sometimes it'd be a great relief to spend six months shaping a few bits of clay.
Wonder how much damage we'd do to each other's endeavours if we swapped roles for a week?
