Saturday 25 June 2011: similar shades

For some reason I was unable to see the small bit of red remaining in one of the bottles next to the sink. There was a full bottle of white next to it, so I'd prehaps assumed that the bottle with a bit of red in the bottom was a full bottle of white, with the meniscus above the bottom of the neck-label. Not having regularly bought wine for several years (and never having regularly bought white, which only needed to be bought-in in small volumes immediately prior to visits from known white wine drinkers) I'm unfamiliar with the subtleties of difference in colour between red wine bottles and white wine bottles. All bottles on the sink are an identical shade of the green I associate with red wine bottles, probably due to manufacturers making it easy for themselves, even though white used to come in clear and brown bottles more often in teh past. Seemingly.
