Wednesday 6 July 2011: Dillon 2000 - 2011

This is the first photo of Dillon that we took when we picked him up from the breeder. He is a wire haired Hungarian Viszla.
What a fabulous dog
Great companion
Really funny
So easy to train
Plays lots of tricks
Walks for miles
Finds and chases pheasants and deer - then turns round and runs like mad with fear!

Today is the day we had to say goodbye as Dillon had fought a great fight after lymphoma and a splenic tumour and today he had an internal haemorrhage.

I was so lucky to be there with Dillon as he died, I was able to hold him in my arms as the vet injected him with the "drug" and he slipped away into another world.

One very quiet house tonight x
