Well  the rain has stopped and glimpses of blue sky have been spotted! Having been going stir crazy over the last few days we ventured out for a walk. Wild and windy but exhilarating, we walked the route passed Mary Bridget's house. I had no intention of going in today but was stopped in my tracks. All the sash windows and doors have been removed - the poor old house looked eyeless and toothless- I had to investigate. All the wood has been removed and it is now open to the elements; the statues have gone as have the hay bales, and stuff has been piled up. These four glasses, intact and odd, were piled up on the base of the once posh table - the top of which is disintegrating by the door. I felt quite sad, and the atmosphere in the house was totally different. I think it's going.

We wandered on to the sea and ate apples on the pebble beach. Tonight we shall eat homemade pizza and watch the third in the Girl with the Dragon tattoo trilogy. It's good seeing them so close together but the plot is incredibly complex and layered.
