Dog Walking Boy

Most of the time during this walk, the boy, was hiding under his jacket pretending to be a bear, or running off all over the place after the dogs. It was beautiful in Hagley Park tonight, but it is a sad reminder that things are not normal. The lake was full of liqufaction and was empty of water and full of diggers which seem to be trying to turn it back into a lake again. The park had a couple of very cool looking dome tents which are taking the place of the entertainment centre in the CBD which no longer exists. It had cheerful sounds of jazz coming out of it, so it is a happening thing. The soccer fields we used last year are up and down, full of hills and hollows, big puddles and sand. It was unbelievealbe.
The golf course looked almost normal apart from the extra sand bunkers of course. I believe they spent weeks digging all the extra landscaping out of it .
Still in the end, for us today, we had a great time and a portrait of very resistant child is always treasured.
