Sunday 10 July 2011: Happy Birthday Jam
It's been a poor year for stone fruit around here, so I was happy to find a good price on apricots at the little produce stand up the coast. Apricot jam always tastes better to me than the fruit itself, and I love the smell of it boiling on the stove. In fact, I like it so much that I'm going to make another batch tomorrow!
Today is Mr. SoozaDay's birthday, and we celebrated by opening a new box of kleenex--apparently I gave him my cold as an early present, so we had a slow day scratching around in the yard instead of the raucous shenanigans you might expect from us on such a momentous occasion.
