Wednesday 9 April 2008: We're not alone
The weather is not good, but not as bad as the weathermen promised us. Winds shifted from the South-West to the North-East because we're in the center of a complex area of low pressure. Hard to predict what the wind speed exactly will be. But on the other side; too bad to go outside and take pictures. And what else can you do besides taking pictures of your companion tug?. But a sharp eye can see another vessel, just behind the President Hubert. It is the "Chikuma Reefer", bound for Tenerife. There is a busy trade from these islands to Europe with fruit. Also a lot of fish, caught in Mauritanian waters, is landed from big trawlers there to be brought to Europe. For us: with this speed, we'll be in the much feared Bay of Biscay tomorrow!
