Terrible photo but I spotted this in the window of a junk antique shop in the Royal Mile this morning. It looks fantastic with its little sets of scales, pestle and morter and all its little bottles of castor oil, epsom salts and tinctures of this, that and the other. I imagine it belonged to some sort of travelling quack but it may well have belonged to an actual physician for making house visits!

It reminds me a bit of the fantastic little folding cabinet that Emelius Browne has in Bedknobs and Broomsticks. :-)
