horns of wilmington's cow

Off out to watch some bike polo practice tonight with the guys (and gal) from EdinburghBikePolo.com, the hosts of the national UK Championships this Saturday and Sunday in the Murrayfield Curling Rink (thawed and drained, of course). It's an ooooooold sport (dating back to the 1890s) and the bike control of this lot was simply astounding.

Tough choice of shot as well, but I like the ball having disappeared out of shot, and the left foot off the pedal with the effort, and the blur (but then pop it to f16 and 1/50th and that's kinda gonna happen). This was the close-run shot into second. Which meant that the stop by St Andrew's House in the morning, continuing the Art Deco project, didn't get look-in at all.
