Saturday 16 July 2011: Rainbow Eyes
This fly was tiny. So tiny I missed it on the underside of this leaf initially, the actual size wasn't far off the size of a greenfly. Eye was impossible to see with the naked eye so it was a nice surprise when I saw this on the shot. The rain is good for macro, really stirs up the insects and the water drops are great on flower shots.
On the other hand, having walked the dogs in torrential rain tonight and came back utterly wet everywhere, and I mean everywhere perhaps the rain isn't quite so good!
