Saturday 27 January 2007: Gorzderette!
Gorzderette was an ancient word for someone who lives 'beyond the gorge' at Champany le Haut. Now it is the name of a mad French competition - ice-climbing, cross-country skiing, archery, a snow obstacle course and pushing a hay bale on a sledge.
Neil and I came 55th out of 86 teams (the only English speaking team there) - for next year, we need to learn how to ski fast, and how to shoot marmots with arrows!
The winners get a trophy, lots of gear, and a white rabbit each. Handy that.
(It's ok, the marmots were only models)
