Toronto Thanks

I was torn between two shots today. A close up shot of a menacing-looking chicken, or the one above.
I finally went for this one because it's our last day here, and I think it sums up Toronto pretty well. We really made the most of our final day, and walked about a thousand miles in the process.

First off we ate at a great fish stall in St. Lawrence market - BBQ shrimp for me, mussels for Luce.
Next we headed to the brilliantly named Cabbagetown area, which included a wonderfully cute, almost ornamental farm. Cabbagetown is fairytale beautiful as far as living in a city goes, each pretty house as different as the next and more trees and grass than you can shake a stick at. The farm is open to the public, especially aimed at kids and school trips - a brilliant way for city kids to glimps another way of the world.
We said goodbye to the animals before making our way downtown for a bit of essential clothes shopping (my old shirt with the sleeves cut off isn't quite making the grade anymore), attempted sandal buying (Lucy) and a good hour of bookshop browsing.
Despite aching feet we then found the strength to walk on down to the harbourfront, for another outdoor movie screening, this time of Paris, Je T'aime. An interesting concept in movie making, it was by its very nature wonderful in some parts, not so good in others.

And just like that our time in Toronto is at an end.
I can't help feeling I'll be back here one day too.*
