Into the light

Travelling north to the land that I love, we drove. The clouds were trying to touch ground level and the sleet was trying to come through the windscreen. The promise of the light in the north, beconed us. The journey took longer than the usual 3 1/2 hours, but the scenery and the light kept us enthralled.
