Sunday 24 July 2011: One last glimpse of the pea hen
The situation with the pea hen has been resolved. As our greyhound Troi was getting extremely stressed by seeing it parading around in our courtyard and also because we couldn't let her run loose in our garden/field just in case she would manage to catch the pea hen, we have found a solution. Our neighbour knew a nearby fishfarm had a peacock and he phoned them to see if they would want a pea hen and they were mad keen. Somehow John managed to lure the hen into our potting shed, the people from the fish farm arrived with a large van and off she went, hopefully to find the love of her life!! And they lived happily ever after, at least we sincerely hope so. And so will Troi, the greyhound!!
