Farewell to a tree (2)

Nearing completion of a giant job - the tree was about fifty feet high, this man bravely perches precariously on top of the extended ladder. I guess he has done this before, as he does not seem to lack confidence. (Just lacks good judgement, in my opinion!)

Not finished yet, the very wide part of the tree trunk at the bottom needs a lot of persuasion.

It will be cut down to a meter above ground level - perhaps the right place for a bird bath.
