Setting the scene for a Wedding

After all the excitement of the re-opening of the National Museum of Scotland yesterday, there was another big event going on in Edinburgh today.

Our cottage is only a few hundred yards from the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Canongate Kirk where Zara Phillips married Mike Tindall today.

The event was notable because of the number of members of the British Royal Family who were in attendance.

I had hoped to stay and watch some of the goings on, but my daughter was coming home after being away for a week, and I wanted to be home for her arrival. There was a better view on TV anyway.
