Welding with a mirror.... and a sad message.
Yesterday we were in the headerspace of the boiler of unit EC3, there were some leaks due to some cracked pipes. The place was cleaned prior to welding.
Today: welding is in progress, Stefan (specialist) is here welding the downward side of the pipe, he has to use a mirror because that's the only way he can see what he's doing... This is indeed a job for a specialist. After this the weld has to be X-rayed to be sure there are no cavities in the material. Lloyds (former: Stoomwezen) is informed and a welding plan had to be made to be approved. Safety First!

Yesterday afternoon we heard the sad news about one of our collegues who passed away after a rather short period of illness...
So today the flag at the gate is at half-mast....
Leen was a special person, he will be missed....
