Hanging on

Spotted this guy, the web spread between two garden chairs. Got the tripod and camera and got as close as the lens would allow me. The slightest breeze would blow everything out of focus so patience and timing became important. I used an old manual lens, a 105mm micro nikkor at f11 and 125th sec on a D300. I find the macro world of insects, flowers etc a new and wonderful discovery. I'm not sure how sharp my old lens is comparatively, but it is showing me a new world.
