I blame this.

First thing this morning I had to rush over to my neighbour's to assist in the removal of a rogue starling that had fallen down the lum and into her living room.
With a towel over both our heads( a joint fear of its feet getting caught in our hair) we managed to open the window and with startling dexterity I managed to get it to perch nicely for me on the window pole and fling it off out of the window.

A shame really as it looked really very nice with her decor, all very Hogwarts.
