Capital adventures

A bevy of buses

It was a better day today - no rants!

Listened to Joe on the radio and felt really glad to be part of this great adventure. E came for coffee, there was more discussion on my refurb plans and I booked some appointments. The sun shone as I walked down the Royal Mile under the Fringe portal and through the gaggle of performers and tourists. I've taken to helping the lost ones struggling with maps. It was two young German visitors today.

A really satisfying (and hopefully financially rewarding) bit of research with a positive outcome at the National Archives and then back home on the #41, a regular, not a tour bus. They are breeding for the Festival so here they are, all lined up on Waverley Bridge.

A tweet from blipcentral about Jon's Page's 365th blip and press article meant I just had to buy an 'Evening News' - great stuff and great publicity for the world of blip.

Back out to the Traverse Bar, not for a show but for SBC Book Group and a lengthy and stimulating discussion on this month's book, 'The God Delusion', which I have to own up and say I still haven't read. Just couldn't get into it.

Getting home after 10 saw C's lights were still on so was able to report on the outcome of the research, trees and refurbs, punctuated just before 11 by the first of the 'end of the Tattoo' fireworks - 'once a night and twice on Saturdays' till the end of the month.

Molly was sick 3 times today - #3 son says she eats too quickly. He's off to TA camp for two weeks on Saturday. It will be good practice for October.

Hands up of you've heard of Phil Ochs?
