One of the Old Faithful.

Ancient tree in the park, the gate keepers of the local church. In fact the trees were most likely brought from England to populate the new land, and to bring reminders from home. What is now the park, was the "glebe" which is where the Vicar had a paddock to graze their own animals for supporting themselves. Nowdays we are lucky that it was gifted to the council for the community once the vicar had a supermarket to shop in instead.

There are a large number of these huge trees in our park. One of the older folks calls them "God's Outdoor Cathedral".
