Sunday 7 August 2011: Flowering Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus grow well in the damp west of Scotland , but this one in our garden was blown down in a gale on Hogmanay 2006. When we came to clear it away, however, we discovered that part of it was still rooted and it has recovered wonderfully , culminating this year in a profusion of these flowers, which hold lots of droplets of water when it rains - as it is today (heavily !)
