Donald and the seagull

The statue of Donald Dewar at the top of Buchanan Street, Glasgow, proved a perfect vantage point for this seagull as the rain dripped incessantly on Central Scotland. I was once involved in bringing Donald Dewar to Dunoon as part of a CND-organised hustings panel in the run-up to one of the elections that returned the Tories in the 80s. It must have been one of the last occasions on which the Burgh Hall was used before its long period of neglect and disuse.
