Saturday 13 August 2011: Legends
Ah, the open road! This is what I love about driving around. Trees of Mystery! Paul Bunyan! Babe the Blue Ox! There's a guy hidden somewhere with a microphone whose job it is to make the statue talk when people approach; children are agape, women giggle and grown men guffaw.
Mr. Soozaday wanted me to use the photo of, ho hum, yet another whale that we saw today; he thinks Paul Bunyan is tacky! And yet somehow we've managed to stay in the same vehicle for two weeks and nearly two thousand miles...
