Continental Army Defends Fort Ligonier

It was history week with my Dad and Uncle visiting. We first stopped at Fort Ligonier, where some re-enactors showed us the ways of life in the 1760s.

Fort Ligonier, in the heart of the American frontier, was a final spot for John Forbe's march to secure Fort Duquesne (soon to be Fort Pitt... and now, of course, Pittsburgh) from the French. The Fort and the surrounding countryside was also very instrumental in the growth and development of one George Washington.
