Tuesday 16 August 2011: Permission to Land...
Got home from work and spotted the wildflower patch I keep in the back garden teaming with hoverflys. It must be the season for them as I've seen a lot about lately. Thankfully the wind had dropped and for a while at least the sun was out so grabbed the camera and went to see what I could get. 45 minutes later and mega frustrated I gave up with over 100 shots. To be honest, none of them are prize winners but this was one of the better inflight shots. Thinking I need a faster shutter or flash sync to catch this razor sharp. Might see what I can rig up with the SB-800 instead of the ring flash.
