Friday 19 August 2011: Not quite a crowning glory
But not bad for a first attempt.
Some time ago now I bought a shutter release cable/remote for my camera. I used it unsuccessfully on Bonfire Night last year and really haven't picked it up since. Then the night before last I decided I wanted a shot of the starry sky over a long exposure, and although I still didn't really know what I was doing with it i got the cable out and dusted it off.
Then today I looked at 'Bricklayers' drop in the water and decided I should have a go with shutter cable. This meant a slightly freer hand and eye to trickle the water.
this is by no means a great shot and is seriously cropped (hence the graininess) but am quite pleased for a first attempt
