Bonneville Salt Flats

We headed over to the Bonneville Salt Flats race track to check out the cars and bikes trying to set speed records during the speed week. Unfortunately most riders were already gone when we got there! Apparently most cars and bikes already broke down earlier in the week as the riders demand the most of their vehicles. Therefore they didn't have enough "bodies" to run today. We only saw a couple of cars and a bike run. This is one of them.

Even though we were of course disappointed that most of the action was already over, it was great to have been there. The salt flats are magical! It is just surreal being in a big white desert-like landscape!

With less time spent in Bonneville, we had more time to explore Salt Lake City with its mormone temple.
