Crane Day

This crane dominated my day as it does this picture.  It arrived before 7am along with a huge team of men to reroute traffic, control pedestrians, supervise deliveries etc etc.

Because this is a built up area and the roads are very busy it was like a military exercise and continued all day.
The building I'm in is in an elevated spot and the flat is on the 14th floor, so it was quite a spectacle.  This position means it is a desirable spot for phone companies to place antennas.
The scale of it all was difficult to capture, not least because I'm still feeling lousy and couldn't be bothered going out to try for another angle.
Suffice it to say I kept waiting for King Kong to come over the balcony.
