View from the Leigh Bowery Room

Max and I stayed in the Leigh Bowery Room at The Hotel Pelirocco last night, we have stayed here many times and try a different room every time if we can, this room is small and cosy and has a bath (most of the rooms have showers) and a great view, it's very relzxed and feels like home from home.
We went to our lovely friends James and Aysha's Wedding Reception at Hotel Du Vin, it was a wonderful event!
Champagne reception and canapes followed by a wonderful dinner of stuffed peppers followed by lamb, mint sauce and dauphinoise potatoes, our place settings were indicated by chocolate bars with our names printed on the gold wrappers which was a lovely touch and very useful for making friends.
We were referred to as the naughty table in the speeches, I'm sure it wasn't because of me ;-)
Then half the tables were cleared and the dancing began, it was so much fun, Tim Jeffrey, owner of Skint/loaded Record company played an great DJ set on old 45's including Jimmy Mack and Abba, brilliant, then Mike Pantelli played a great varied set taking us through the decades, at about 12 I sang Rain Down Love and When You Touch Me which is the reason I met them all in 2006 when I made the record with James and Russell who are a Production team called the Freemasons.
James and Aysha are such wonderful people and we were really touched to be included in their special day, they made a stunning couple!
Anyway.... we were the worse for wear on the walk home and I blagged some chips from a hen party who had actually abandoned the hen and left her in a nightclub, nice!
We wandered around Brighton and bought a few gifts, had coffee with Gillian and Brett and then came home via my sister's to pick up the kids, a lovely weekend ;-)
