Homolovi State Park Campsite

Our first day on the road. we had lunch at Red Rock State Park new Gallup New Mexico and then traveled on west to Homolovi State Park in Arizona. Ruins of Hopi villages dating to the 12th and 13th century are protected here. It's hot and dry. The camp ground id too near the highway and the railroad so it's very noisy. The wind blew very hard until midnoght so it was hard to sleep, although my first night in a tent is always a little sleepless. The fabulous shower facilities made it all worth while. heading north into Hopi land tomorrow. The Hopi don't like people to take photographs, so I will respect that and post something else.
