Friday 26 August 2011: The Pilgrims Gate

The Pilgrims Gate is the gateway to where lots of great friends and former work colleagues lay to rest. I often go to lay flowers for the lads whenever im home or on the anniversary of their death. I went to lay flowers today on Big Ollies grave. He died almost 5 years ago and next Friday everyone is out on the lash in the local town to celebrate his life, however, I have to be somewhere early doors the following morning so went today instead.

I remember the day very well when I was notified of Ollies death and to say I was devastated would be an understatement. We worked very closely together and we knew each other well and he is very sorely missed. A few tears were shed, and tonight I shall sink quite a few Guinness. In fact, I raise my glass as we speak and I down a nice cold one in my Regimental pint glass!

RIP Ollie mate, see you in hell!
